Abstract
VULNERABILITY ANALYSIS FOR NEAR FUTURE COMPOSITE/HYBRID AEROSTRUCTURES
The Vulnerability Analysis for Near Future Composite/Hybrid Aerostructures Project– VULCAN is a 4 years EC funded R&T International Cooperation Development programme in which PEMAS participated along with several other entities from academia, R&D centres, SMS’s and Industry
The scope of this project encompasses the development of novel materials and design optimization strategies aiming at strengthening composite/ hybrid airborne structures and prevent catastrophic damage due to internal blast loading or fire incidents.
